Students need their Chromebooks to finish the ocean acidification lesson and vote for student awards. Students also need to check SKYWARD to make sure that what they think they have turned in is recorded.

Today students will focus on how to mix different things to get a solution back to neutral.

Today students will finish their mixtures test and go over the procedure for the flame test they will be doing tomorrow.

Monday 6/4/18

Today all students that passed the test and have turned in the parent permission letter, will continue to test the 5 known compounds. Today will be the last day to collect data. Tomorrow students will use their data chart to identify the 2 compounds in their mixture.

Get yourself ready for burning, 1 Bunsen burner per table.

Thursday 5/31/18

Today students will have their last attempt to pass the safety test. Students will have time to finish their periodic table scavenger hunt and will start the compounds and mixtures lab if there is time.

Tuesday 5/29/18

Today students will have their 2nd opportunity to take the safety test. We will then introduce our last unit of the year, “WHY are physical and chemical properties different?” We will end our day looking at the reactants and products of methane burning.

Ms. Jess will be our guest teacher tomorrow while I am at a meeting.

Today students will have the first opportunity to take and pass their safety test. When students finish they will do a reading on the polarity of water in google classroom.
